Actually, a student above me at the University of Pune in India had studied at Kanazawa University. At our university it was possible to select either Kanazawa University or another university for overseas studies. I heard about Kanazawa University from this student and became very interested. I looked it up on the Internet right away, and was astonished because I had never seen a university so huge. The campus was so large and the buildings were so grand that I wanted to study here by all means.
I am now in love with Wadaiko, the Japanese drums. KUSEP had a hands-on learning class for the wadaiko. When I heard the sounds of the drums and saw the position and form the drummers took to pound on the drums, I couldn't help but shout, "Cool!" Kanazawa station has a dome that is constructed with a taiko drum theme. I go there often because I like this spot.
When I first came to Kanazawa, I thought that one year would be a long time, but it went by very quickly. In the future, I want to become a schoolteacher in India. I hope to be able to tell the children about the wonderful traditions of Japan that I learned about during my study here.
